I started practicing yoga over 15 years ago as a way to release stress and reconnect with myself. Yoga and mediation have become a daily part of my life. I received her 200 hour teacher training from Urban Breath in May of 2014.

The basis of my teaching philosophy is that anyone can benefit from and practice yoga, in fact I think everyone should practice yoga! My goal is to have students leave a class feeling calm, energized and more connected to themselves.

I like to help my students reconnect to their bodies, gain more self-awareness and self-acceptance which they can take off the mat into their daily lives. I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Missouri and currently work with heart health patients teaching yoga, meditation and stress management. When I am not practicing or teaching yoga, I like to spend time with my husband and two daughters. I also enjoy traveling and spending time in nature to rejuvenate

All shall be well..

Sarah’s Deep Healing and Restorative workshop is perfectly named. I’ve attended three times and will keep on going. Sarah establishes a gentle, supportive, meditative environment, and through the practice, I feel very connected to a calm, healing place at the core of my being. Physical and emotional stress surrenders to a feeling of peace. The second half of the class is Yoga Nidra. In this state of deep relaxation, time is irrelevant, and awareness shifts to what I can only describe as pure being. The total experience puts me in mind of a quote from Julian of Norwich, “All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.” I highly recommend this workshop, and suggest you bring a friend!

Excellent Experience!

Sarah lead an hour class for a private yoga event in our home. She was very responsive during our communications leading up to the class, fair in her pricing, and timely in her arrival for the class. Our attendees had various levels of experience, but Sarah was able to provide modifications that met each person where they were. She had a calm and supportive energy and was well received by the students. We look forward to having her back in the future and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a yoga instructor!

Gentle Guide for My Journey Inward

I have been an intermittent practitioner of yoga for 40 years, and it was Sarah who brought me back to my practice after a hiatus of about 8 years. She has made me fall in love with yoga again. Sarah is just completing her first year of teaching, but she is a calm, reassuring leader whose class I try very hard not to miss. She brings a little bit of meditation, a little bit of adjustment and a heaping portion of restorative therapy to each class, and I leave feeling rejuvenated, peaceful and centered. She frequently offers modifications or props to make poses accessible to all, and I feel supported, not judged, in my practice. I recommend her without reservation!
