I am originally from Texas. I moved to Boston in 1990 to attend graduate school. I went to graduate school for Epidemiology/Biostatistics. I am currently employed at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health as a Surveillance Epidemiologist in the Bureau of Infectious Disease. This basically means I get to track bugs and stuff that impact the health and well-being of the Commonwealth. I found myself on a yoga mat for the first time in 1995 and have been on one ever since. In 2010, I completed my 200-hour certification with David Magone, founder of PranaVayu Yoga and trained with Josh Summers in the Yin Yoga style. I use meditation and yoga to develop a calmer, more focused mind while strengthening my body through PranaVayu and Yin styles.
