Yoga has given me so many benefits over the years, from providing me with tools to help keep me grounded, despite what is going on around me, to helping me to recover from hard athletics training sessions and transition from a stressful career in the financial world to a much more balanced life, being self-employed in the world of health and wellbeing.
I qualified to teach with Yogacampus Islington, a centre who's qualification standards are recognised by International Yoga Network, Yoga Alliance (RYT 200hrs) and Registered Exercise Professionals.
I am also qualified in Sports Massage Therapy and Pose Running (level 1). I practise sports massage therapy and use my knowledge of running and movement to help people release tension and improve their movement pattern. I also enjoy athletics, horse-riding, ski-ing and music.
My classes are based on Hatha Yoga with a strong focus on breath and alignment. I like to give time to experience the breath in each posture before moving on to the next posture and allow time at the end of a class to relax and enjoy a short period of breathing techniques to help quieten the mind.
I am continuously developing my own understanding of the body, the mind and what they are capable of. I draw from the knowledge of other teachers, students, therapists and books and pass on what I have learned to help other people on their journeys in life.
