I have been practicing yoga for about 16 years. I began as part of my self care as a massage therapist, but I soon began to see how massage and yoga enhanced each other and I began to recommend different yoga postures to my clients to prolong the relaxing effects of my massage. Soon I found myself teaching classes.
I am a perpetual student and my personal studies introduced me to Krishnamacharya, the "Father of Modern Yoga". I fell in love with his philosophy and was determined to find a teacher in his lineage. That lead me to The American Viniyoga Institute and after 2 years of studies I became a 500 hour Viniyoga teacher. Viniyoga is about breath and movement.
MY PHILOSOPHY: Our breath guides our movement, our breath guides our lives. It is the first thing we do as we begin life and it the last thing we will do as our life ends. In between our first INHALE and our last EXHALE, the quality of each breath affects everything in our life.
My classes begin, focus and end with attention to our breath. Come mindfully breath with me.
