Sheila Sager began her Bikram Yoga practice, June 2009, to rehabilitate her knee after having surgery. Sheila used Bikram Yoga as a tool for rehabilitation to restore full range of motion to her knee. Sheila noticed the physical and emotional benefits of the practice right away. She has always known deep in her heart, her purpose in life is to help people heal themselves. She knew she found her calling and had to share Bikram Yoga with everyone! Sheila completed her Teacher Training in Spring, 2010.
Upon graduation, Sheila immediately began teaching full time in Northern California at Bikram Yoga College of India - Oakland, Funky Door Yoga - San Francisco and Bikram Yoga - Walnut Creek. Sheila attended an Advanced Seminar in 2011 and began leading Advanced Class regularly. To further her knowledge, she attended Rajashree’s Pregnancy Seminar in 2012 and learned to teach Rajashree’s Pregnancy Yoga. Understanding the connection of yoga and healthy lifestyle, her next endeavor was to become a Health Coach in 2013. Sheila is passionate about health, teaching and practicing Bikram Yoga. As a person who has used the practice to heal her body from injuries ranging from knee pain to ruptured and herniated discs, Sheila believes in a person’s ability to heal using yoga and proper holistic health education to improve mind, body and spirit.
Every day brings a new experience. Sharing the incredible health benefits of Bikram Yoga while watching people heal their bodies, change and discover new things about themselves everyday gives Sheila true fulfillment. Sheila loves her yoga life and takes joy in watching people grow as they practice Bikram Yoga.
