Shell was introduced to yoga approximately 25 years ago, due to being in a car accident and dealing with a back injury and scoliosis. She slowly started dabbling in all different types of yoga in search of what would work for her body. This was where she developed the philosophy of doing yoga for her OWN body and not worrying about whether she could touch her toes or bend like the rest of the class. Her passion is to share what she knows about yoga to all people of all abilities. Self care and restoration is a theme that she brings to every class. Shell is a certified Thai Yoga Massage Practitioner, Certified Infant Massage Instructor and a Prenatal and Postnatal Doula (Labour companion).
Shell completed her Yoga Teacher Trainings through the South Okanagan Yoga Academy in BC and Sammartino Yoga. Shell's belief is to "never stop learning", so she continues to learn not only from her many cherished yoga teachers and continued studies, but also through the wisdom and experiences of her students.
On a trip to India, Shell fell in love with the practice of Kirtan and bhakti yoga and offers Kirtan with her harmonium regularly.
