Shelley teaches yoga to people across the globe and provides yogic counseling. As a trainer from the Oneness University of India, she offers Oneness Certification courses.
Shelley was a professional contemporary ballet dancer in New York City for over a decade. During that time she was co director of a pre professional dance company for high school students, Dance in Education, as well as a teaching artist for the NYC Ballet. After many dance tours to Asia, Shelley decided to move full time into a yoga and counseling career.
Shelley was a founding member of the Integrative Medicine Department at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital, where she developed and taught programs for eight years. She received a grant to work with Alzheimer’s patients easing anxiety with movement therapy and also taught a two year program for children and adolescents at NY Cornell Mental Hospital.
Shelley is the author of The Ecstasy of Practice, ecstatic yoga and wellness practices, and Journey Into Yoga, love poetry to the divine lover, as well as numerous magazine and online articles.
Shelley currently leads wellness retreats, offers specialty workshops, and has a private practice.
