For me, what it means to practice yoga is an invitation to give yourself the chance to step out of the hamster wheel and get the dust off all the hooks in oneself, that do not see the light of day every day, but which also need to cleaned. Personally, yoga gives me courage and desire to relinquish control over how I think life should be and enjoy the present moment, instead of always thinking about tomorrow.
In my teaching, I emphasize that all who participate, get a good feeling in both body and soul. Not only when you are on the mat but also when the class has ended. When one takes care of oneself, it does not only affect the individual but also the community in a positive direction. Together we can do what we cannot do alone!
