Stacey's passion for yoga, dance and fitness led to her moving on from a successful 12 years in the corporate world to help people like you move towards your health and wellness goals.
Being diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease in her neck at 35 has not dampened Stacey's enthusiasm for exercise. She uses yoga therapy and strength training to alleviate the pain and carries on with all the activities she loves doing.
Stacey started dancing when she was 10, first tried yoga in 1998, added pole dance to her repertoire in 2008 and has many years of gym and cycling experience.
Her studies and experience cover yoga and fitness, with a specialisation in anxiety and stress relief and pain management, and led to her founding Maitri Yoga, Australian Fitness Projects and Pole Dance AUS, which have now combined to form the Maitri Fitness studio in Manly, Sydney.
She believes that working in your chosen genre can be used to allow you to feel many different things and that you will benefit from different styles and intensities, depending on what else your body and mind are going through on any given day.
Stacey's classes are different to most; her classes are full of options to explore your own practice for that day. Having suffered herself from stress and poor posture, you will find a lot of encouragement to connect with your own breath pattern, and find postural alignment and core work are integral to any class.
