Ananda Yoga is the style of Hatha I train in. Including yoga therapy, pre-natal and restorative training. Being a Hatha practitioner and instructor, what I love the most about this style is the opportunity to refine, strengthen and heal each time we come to the mat.
This is not the yoga practice that you get through quickly, at a fast pace.
This is the yoga of holding your pose, allowing the time to lengthen, breathe deeper, gain strength, redirect focus and peace in ways only possible during sustained effort. Between each pose is a moment of pause in which an essential integrative method is used.
It is a firm belief of mine that each of us is our own healer and teacher - we can find the abilities to do so with this practice.
