Stefanie discovered yoga over 15 years ago. She realized after a few months that the benefits of a dedicated yoga practice went far beyond just moving the body. Yoga has provided Stefanie significant balance and calmness in her life. She hopes to not only continue to integrate the values of yoga into her own life, but to also share the wisdom with others.
Stefanie completed her 200 hour Hatha Teacher Training program at the Yoga Connection Teacher Training School in 2013 and is currently a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) with the Yoga Alliance. She has over 500 hours of teaching experience. Stefanie is able to offer versatility in her classes by acknowledging and honoring where her students physically and mentally are during each class and by encouraging them to explore different variations of each pose. She teaches beginning and continuing Hatha Yoga. Stefanie also integrates chair, gentle, yin, and restorative yoga into her teaching practice.
Stefanie’s calling is to help others. Her academic and work backgrounds are in psychology and social work. Stefanie is currently a licensed social worker and incorporates this unique skill set into her yoga practice.
“Yoga is my calling – my dharma. It would be my honor and pleasure to guide you through a holistic yogic journey. I offer a mindfully paced asana (physical poses) practice that incorporates pranayama techniques (breathing) and meditation. I encourage you to honor your body, to be fully present in the moment, and to go at your pace. I learn so much from fellow yoga practitioners and I am ready to take this journey with you!"
