I am so excited to share the passion I have found in my own yoga practice with anyone willing to learn. Without practice nothing can be achieved, 99% practice, 1% theory is my new mantra. I am truly grateful for the gift of yoga and look forward to continuing my practice for the rest of my life.
I also teach at the WR Senior Center. Classes are held on Mondays from 10:45-12:15 AND Wed from 11-12 (gentle yoga) & 4:30-5:45. Classes cost $10 and include Young Living Essential Oils.

Superb instructor

Stephanie is a great instructor! She explains all the yoga poses very well, which I appreciate since I am a novice. She is an excellent instructor for all levels and is very professional, personable and helpful.

Great Teacher

I have never practiced Yoga before, and have been very happy with Stephanie as an instructor. She is able to work with a variety of people who have differing physical problems and abilities, helping them work to their capacity, while emphasizing safety and proper technique. She is a warm and personable instructor.

Stephanie is a great teacher. I love that she does adjustments during class and I love her use of essential oils. I always get a good workout and I always feel relaxed afterwards.

Stephanie is a great teacher!

Stephanie demonstrates and talks us through poses so I know what to do throughout class; modifications are presented, and I appreciate gentle reminders because there is a lot to remember to practice safely. Classes are never the same--lots of poses are done always with encouragement to do the best I can do each day.

Love this lady!

Stephanie teaches our senior center yoga class. She is extremely knowledgeable and experienced and a wonderful, understanding and clear teacher recognizing the special challenges seniors' bodies face and she adjusts her poses accordingly for us.

Stephanie is a phenomenal coach! Her knowledge of anatomy and body dynamics makes her especially effective. She has the eye for form and safety, which enables her to spot and correct poor form. She encourages w/o being harsh. Her demonstrations are always applicable. Stephanie never fails to suggest and demonstrate modifications to utilize in place of techniques which we might find overly challenging, while still motivating us to advance. One of the best coaches I've ever had! Her cheerfulness helps to keep us coming back!

Ashtanga Yoga with Stephanie Krantz

Stephanie is a friendly & open instructor who makes practicing yoga fun & challenging. She reinforces the basics of the practice & always demonstrates & explains asanas that are not done frequently. Since I have been attending her classes I feel I have improved immensely. Stephanie is expanding her horizons as far as what she is offering to her students, which keeps the classes interesting & varied.

Excellent Yoga Instructor for all practice levels

Stephanie is a very dedicated, compassionate, knowledgeable and experienced teacher of Astanga Vinyasa (flow & breath) style yoga. As I indicated on the scale ratings she is very friendly, experienced and safety oriented in her classes, often gently reminding students to be inwardly conscious and listen to their bodies moment to moment, day to day, in order to choose what is best for a student's own health and well-being with each pose or movement.

She gives ample alternate modifications at the same time inspiring and encouraging students to "stretch themselves" and push through (without overextending) any limitations we place on ourselves. She has a beautiful balance between demonstrating and explaining, in describing how to, giving the benefits, and offering modifications or levels of moving into some of the more challenging or rigorous poses. I would say she also has mastered a great balance between encouraging each student to feel what is going on in their own bodies, at the same time paying attention to each student and making suggestions or physical hands on adjustments to help them find the beauty and resonance of a pose or vinyasa. The resonance that Stephanie really seeks to help each student find in her yoga classes is that which is perfect for each rather than pushing every student to reach a single "ideal" or "perfection" for each pose. The last scale rating above has to do with whether the teacher is more body or spiritual focused. Again, my experience of Stephanie's classes is she has a perfect balance, or union (which is one of the meanings of the word "yoga"), that nurtures body, mind, and soul. Personally I connect with Stephanie and her style of yoga instruction because it does speak to me on a more spiritual level - rather than being "yoga aerobics" or "yoga strength training". However I think that students looking for a yoga class that will challenge and strengthen them more on the physical level would find Stephanie's yoga appropriate to their needs and expectations. Stephanie also has a good balance of all aspects of a good yoga practice in each class (tuning inward, breathing, stretching, asanas or poses, alignment and posture, flow movement, and restorative/relaxation time). She really gets an A+ in my book of experience with yoga instructor. Just as an FYI, I have been a yoga instructor (gentle Hatha Yoga mostly for seniors) for about 12 years, and have been a student of yoga for about 20 years. The classes I have attending that Stephanie teaches have a wide range of student ages and levels of ability - she does an excellent job of reaching out, teaching and inspiring all levels and ages through her compassionate instruction.

Very thorough and joyful!

Stephanie is one of the best. I have been doing yoga over 30 years and she explains the asanas and demonstrates positions in a thorough and gentle way. I love her detailed and joyful methods of doing yoga and she cares about everyone in an honest and equal manner. I hope she stays in NM for a very long time.
