I first discovered Yoga in February 2007, in an attempt to combat a bad bout of depression that I was going though at that time. I was first drawn to Ashtanga Vinyasa flow, which is a fast flowing energetic style of yoga, but as my practiced developed, I began to realise that I wanted more form yoga than just the physical practice, consequently I began practiced other styles of yoga such as Iyengar and Sivananda with many different teachers, finely settling on Hatha Yoga, which is often a blend of several schools of yoga, Hatha Yoga focuses more on the aliment of each asana and sometimes includes some mediation and or chanting.
After a few years, my practice had developed sufficiently that my teachers were beginning to suggest that I look into becoming a yoga teacher myself, saying that my patience, enthusiasm and caring approach to the people around me, coupled with my strong practice, would make me a very good teacher. After much deliberation and research, I finally decided to undertake the 200 hour teacher training course at CamYoga in Cambridge, since completing this course I have furthered my studies by obtaining a certificate in First aide, and am currently looking into further my studies in some way.
While initially drawn to yoga as a purely physical exercise regime, I have discovered that yoga not only improves your general physical fitness, strength and joint suppleness, but will over time through exercise, meditation and breathing, create a balance in the mind and body, which will give the practitioner a felling overall well-being.

A wonderful way to spend and hour

A real professional Steve has a way of putting a class at ease. Good explanations and safe moves he goes around the class explaining and adjusting as he teaches. His meditation at the end gives deeper meaning to the moves and yoga philosophy. I always leave his class feeling mentally and physically more alert.

Simply marvellous

Steve oozes calmness and true yoga. He is very encouraging, maintains a positive attitude and adapts the intensity of each class to the participants' needs and levels of energy. All participants leave his classes with a smile. I cannot recommend Steve highly enough.

Very intuitive teacher who puts flair in the basics

Steve is warm and friendly yoga teacher who clearly loves what he does. Excellent for beginners and those with more experience, I would definitely recommend his class.
