I have been practicing since 1998 and quickly began realizing its many benefits including stress reduction, core strengthening and balance (mental and physical) and decided to take the teacher training to share these benefits with others. I completed my teacher training in 2010 and have been consistently teaching since then. My philosophy is that yoga is more than a physical exercise, it is a means to quiet the mind and connect more fully with yourself. It can heighten awareness and develop the intuitive abilities inherent in all of us. Practice, along with an open mind and heart, keep the benefits coming. You will realize better breathing capabilities, greater core strength, better balance, enhanced flexibility, calmness of mind as well as greater body awareness with regular practice. My goal is to safely inspire others to get more in touch with themselves on all levels so that they can realize their full potential as well as to learn to work with physical limitations to make the most of their daily lives. Yoga is for everyone - young, old, women, men. All are welcome!!

I am so glad I started Yoga with Sue

I came to Yoga with Sue pretty much scared to pieces. I had been told I had a pinched nerve in my spine. And, I have a touchy knee. Now, after 4 months with Sue I am truly feeling stronger and happier with my body. There are still Yoga things I really can't do yet but I am building confidence and I look forwards to her class and seeing my progress.

Sue Cosens

Sue was so very helpful to me when I took her classes in PV. I had breathing issues and she did wonders with the chair exercises for me. I would give her a big star for her knowledge of all kinds of exercises.

Extremely happy yoga lady

I do the Silver yoga classes and Sue always starts her classes asking if our bodies need anything specific and then adjusts our class to those needs. She is great at explaining and demonstrating poses and provides alternate poses to those if us with specific issues. She is very safety conscious and very encouraging. I highly recommend her classes.

Mind & Body Practice

I can't praise Sue enough. Her yoga classes are both spiritual and yet physically challenging. She is able to teach different adjustments for all levels of pupils in the same class.

Yoga Excellence!

Just the right mix of personal and professional, with enough encouragement for newbies and enough inspiration for those more experienced. Sue is a wonderful teacher and her class is something I look forward to attending whenever I'm able to do so. When I'm not able to attend in person, Sue's YouTube series is an excellent substitute!

Meaning of Yoga

Sue is patient and kind. I have practiced for several years and, as I get older and face more physical challenges, I appreciate that Sue doesn't try to "fix" me, only makes suggestions.

Excellence in Motion

There is a sense of safety as well as relaxation in every yoga practice taught by Sue Cosens. I feel very blessed to have found such a talented and caring teacher. Throughout each practice she watches the students and helps make adjustments. She encourages each student to enjoy their practice at whatever level they are.
