I started practicing yoga in 2008 after a serious ankle injury and discovered yoga not only transformed my well being but also my outlook on life. With each inhale, I began to equate breath with energy; a spiritual energy that can take on anything that comes my way. With each moment of meditation, my body, mind, & soul felt more connected and I gained a sense of balance. With each asana, I realized how my Vedantic (spiritual) knowledge complements the practice of yoga. Because it has had such a profound impact on my life, I wanted to teach others yoga and became a certified instructor in December 2014. When not practicing yoga, I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, watching Indian movies, reading books, and giving Indian cooking lessons.
