Native Austinite, I began my yoga practice during my first pregnancy at age 19. I was lucky to have an one on one, 2 year apprenticeship with my teacher studying and learning to teach Hatha, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga. My favorite classes in my first years practicing and teaching were outdoor classes and retreats immersed in nature. Swimming in the river, soaking in sunlight, moonlight and starlight, walking, yoga, chi Kung, juice fasting and cleanses, and parter Thai massage were my early experiences in learning yoga. After my first certification in 1997, I continued to study Anatomy and Massage Therapy to deepen my skills and service to my students in yoga. As the journey of my professional career has grown, I offer massage therapy, yoga therapy, Watsu, and prenatal and postnatal yoga and massage services. It all began with yoga and the more I have learned and practiced healing modalities for body, mind, and spirit, it always comes back to yoga as a foundation of natural healing and wisdom, accessed from deep within each of us.
