Susan Cuda - My yoga journey was a path of rediscovery. From the first class I took, I knew yoga would play a large role in my life; in fact I closed my custom window treatment business that I owned for 25 years, to become a yoga teacher.

I made that decision in 2009, and began my 200 hr teacher training at Yoga Mandali with Gopi Kinnicutt as my teacher. Choosing to be a Yoga teacher was definitely the best life decision I’d made, this is just where I needed to be. I wanted to further my Yoga education, so the following year I participated in a Level One Restorative Yoga Teacher Training with Ann Saffi Biasetti.

Restorative Yoga is so different from traditional asana practice, but found I was equally enchanted with the practice that was inspired by B K S Iyengar and brought to the West by Judith Hanson Lasater. I taught both restorative and vinyasa yoga at Yoga Mandali for 1.5 years.

It was also at Yoga Mandali that I met Mark Kinder. I had taken several amazing workshops with Mark and experienced his level of expertise. Marks Hatha Yoga classes were so different from the practice than I had previously experienced or taught. I noticed the level of relaxation I felt in mind and body after his classes, so when Mark opened his studio at 2 Franklin Sq, and offered a 300 hour Hatha Yoga teacher training I quickly signed on and never looked back.

In December of 2012 I was certified through Yoga ED. to teach children's yoga. I'm so happy to be able to bring these classes to Namaste.

Through a series of blessed yet unexpected events I am now the grateful caretaker of Namaste Yoga. My mission: to offer therapeutic classes that heal the body, still the mind, and awaken consciousness.

To stay true to the original purpose of yoga.

Please visit the studio, it would be an honor to serve you.
