Susan has been practicing yoga devotedly since the early 1990's and currently runs a local yoga studio in Vancouver where she has been teaching since 2006. She leads an inclusive community founded on authentic connections and supportive friendships, holding space for the many colours and cultures of Commercial Drive. She feels blessed by the privilege of working with students at every level, and in addition to her public classes, has offered private classes for community mental health, at-risk youth, ESL students and children.

Susan teaches both yin and yang styles of yoga, believing that both are required for a balanced practice. Having completed over 500 hours of training in different traditions, her classes are a fusion of the flowing grace of Vinyasa and Acrobatic Yoga, the alignment principles of Anusara and Iyengar Yoga, and the energetic vibrations of Kundalini Yoga and Qi Gong. Yin Yoga and Insight Meditation are her passion, offering balance through the practice of stillness, self-inquiry and awareness.

Exploring many styles of yoga on her journey, Susan has been influenced by a variety of excellent teachers and traditions. She received her initial 200 hour training at Vancouver’s Flow Yoga in 2006, completed her Anusara Yoga Teacher Training in 2010, Thai Massage Certified Level I and II in 2011, and is currently exploring the therapeutics of Partner and Acrobatic Yoga, aiming to complete her Acro-Yoga Teacher training in Montreal in 2014.
