Yoga is the practice I turn to when I need to be reminded of who I am. I was first inspired by yoga over twenty years ago in Las Vegas, NV., when a good friend invited me to a class. I soon began fully immersing myself in the practice of yoga by attending trainings, workshops, conferences, and studying under several well known teachers. After moving to a small community in the mountains of Colorado, I opened a yoga studio (The Gunnison Sanctuary) with two other ladies (Leia Morrison and Sherrill Stinson). Eventually I was hired by the University of Western State College to teach yoga credit courses for their students. Recently, we moved to Manitou Springs where I now teach at SunWater Spa and Playoga. I continue to offer workshops and classes back home at the Gunnison Sanctuary and at various other studios. My classes are eclectic and physically challenging but always welcoming and encouraging. After participating in Becca Roodhuyzen's Playoga advanced teacher training, I am now teaching the alignment principles of yoga in each of my classes. Most importantly, I hope to help people discover the benefits spiritually, physically, and emotionally of a consistent yoga practice.
