Yoga is the practice I turn to when I need to be reminded of who I am. I was first inspired by yoga over twenty years ago in Las Vegas, NV., when a good friend invited me to a class. I soon began immersing myself in the practice by attending multiple trainings, workshops, conferences, and studying under several well known teachers. After moving to a small community in the mountains of Colorado, I opened a yoga studio (The Gunnison Sanctuary) with two other ladies (Leia Morrison and Sherrill Stinson). Eventually I was hired by the University of Western State College to teach yoga credit courses for their students. Recently, we moved to Colorado Springs where I now teach at SunWater Spa and Playoga. My classes, workshops, and retreats are eclectic and physically challenging but always welcoming and encouraging. After participating in Becca Roodhuyzen's Playoga advanced teacher training, I am now teaching more of the universal alignment principles in my classes. Most importantly, I hope to help people discover the benefits spiritually, physically, and emotionally of a consistent yoga practice.
