Susannah Sahoo ERYT-200 Yoga Teacher

Practicing for more than 13 years and teaching since 2009, Susannah is registered with Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Yoga Teacher at the 200 hour level. She completed her training through the well known and highly regarded training program Yoga Works of California. Strongly influenced by Iyengar and Ashtanga yoga, Susannah is well known for her love of core work, intelligent sequencing, technical alignment and her ability to weave philosophy (often subtly disguised as humor) into a practice. Students appreciate Susannah’s challenging but accessible classes which consistently leave them “feeling strong and getting stronger”. Her classes are always welcoming of all levels, but count on them being sweaty so, expect a sweet sweat angel on your mat post savasana. While she will push and pull you, she will always encourage you to stick up for yourself ~ reminding students that there is just as much beauty in child’s pose as there is in an arm balance. Committed to teaching and sharing the depth of yoga, Susannah is a primary teacher in an Indianapolis based teacher training program and she currently spends much of her time traveling back and forth between Indianapolis and New York City as she works towards completing her 500 hour certification with Sri Dharma Mitra whom she credits with sharing with her the true depth and breadth of the practice. Susannah is the best!

3 years ago I walked into my first yoga class. Luckily, Susannah was the instructor. With her knowledge of anatomy and concern with avoiding injury, she guides us through flows that are the perfect blend of strength building, stretching, and meditation. I take 4 or 5 classes per week from different instructors, but my favorite classes are whatever Susannah's teaching. Her Yin class is unbelievable! Thank you Susannah, for creating this yoga addict!

She is my trusted teacher.

I may occasionally take class from someone else, but I trust what she tells me, and will run anything I learn elsewhere by her. I have improved so much under her instruction, and am much stronger. She's encouraging, and I feel like an individual in class. She knows where I am in my practice, and encourages me to keep growing.
