I have been practising yoga since childhood and am a qualified Yoga Alliance teacher.
I am interested in the mind body connection and am of the view that the mind affects the body and the body affects the mind and that there can be no separation. That said, in the West, we are encouraged to behave as if, and to believe that, the mind and the body are separate.
Through my teaching i aim to encourage students to make the mind body connection in a more conscious way. Through conscious awareness we can each become more aware of self, of our behaviour towards ourselves and of our relationships with others and with the world around us. when we take the time to be aware we have more choice in how we respond and behave. when we behave and respond in accordance with our own values and beliefs, we are able to feel more at peace.
