Tahirih lives for playing, swimming, cooking, gardening, and laughing with her children. She has found that a consistent yoga practice allows her to be truly present with reality under (almost!) any circumstance. After 17 years of practicing various styles of yoga from Iyengar to Ashtanga, she has relaxed into teaching an alignment-based Vinyasa class that is challenging but doesn’t take itself too seriously. Tahirih prefers to emphasize the way the poses make you feel as opposed to how they look and loves to subtly incorporate meditation into daily practice and life. Learning to read the signals your own body is sending is essential to keeping up with a lifetime of inevitable change. Yoga will make you pay attention, read the innate messages from your body, and take effortless action to honor the specific food, movement, or rest it needs. Tahirih is also a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Masters Degree in Nutrition Science and loves exploring the supportive combinations of both food and yoga for a nutritious body and delicious mind.
