Tamara Berec was born in Zagreb, Croatia, 1974. In 2003 she graduated from the University of Kinesiology, Zagreb. Her specific fields in Yoga include Dharma Yoga (raja-hatha yoga), Ashtanga Vinyasa and Yoga for children. From the age of 15 she starts to visit Hare Krishna temple in Zagreb and listen about knowledge from Vedas and Bhagavad Gita. At the age of 17 she is introduced in Transcendental meditation tehnique and Reiki healing. In 2009. she finished her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training (Yoga Alliance Registered School), on Bali with the GaiaTree Yoga School. The following year is spent assisting her teacher Marco Bianco on Ashtanga Led classes and later that year and the following 5 years to come she spends her summers in Goa, India studying and practicing Yoga with Rolf Naujokat and few Hatha yoga teachers. In 2010. she finishes the Centered Yoga Thailand Advanced Pranayam course in the tradition of Sri She deepens her knowledge in various yoga classes and Ayurveda courses in India, Bali and Croatia. From 2011. to 2013 she teaches classes in the Divya Yoga studio in Zagreb, in 2012 and 2013 she is part of a teacher training course as a Yoga teacher in India in collaboration with several Yoga schools.
From 2013 her personal Yoga practice more resonated with Dharma Yoga, inspired with Sandra Petra Pintarić and Sri Dharma Mittra.
In 2014 she finishes Rainbow kids, a yoga for children course she is very passionate about.
2015 she has met great Dharma Yoga teacher Sri Dharma Mittra who inspired her to teach more Dharma Yoga on her classes.
In 2015 she has met her Guruji Acharya Mahamandaleshwara Swami Nardanand who runs Siddha Ashram in Ujjain. She stays in Ujjain in his Ashram for some time, practicing Kundalini Shaktipat which is becoming by Dharma Yoga her main Yoga practice till now.
She continues her Yoga Teacher Training 500hr programme in Zagreb, with the Divya Yoga School.
She is founder of Yoga and Dance studio "Ritam zona" in Zagreb.
