Transitioning from a 26 year career in law enforcement, I started teaching yoga in 2012. I have an organic approach to teaching and specialize in working with those who might not otherwise consider yoga accessible. For 5 years I partnered with Albany Medical Center and Honest Weight Food Coop to provide yoga for people with Parkinson's Disease and their care partners. I have also held classes at Club Life, Govinda Yoga, Heartspace Yoga, Lotus Wellness, All Good Things, and other community spaces, as well as private in-home sessions.
In 2018 I relocated to Red Hook, Dutchess County, saying goodbye to public classes and students in the Capital District. Since then I have expanded my yoga teaching to include the integration of practices to bring greater comfort with end-of-life preparation and transition. I am currently offering yoga, Reiki, and holistic wellness through public workshops at Rainbow Body Yoga, staff classes at Omega Institute, and in-home private sessions.
Calm presence and deep listening enhanced through yoga and Reiki practices can bring about remarkable healing transformations. Those practices are foundational to how I live, teach, and serve. Whether just starting out, facing mid-life, or living out final days, it is never too early or too late for these practices to work wonders beyond words.
