My yoga life began about ten years ago when I was living and working in LA and began practicing at Exhale in Venice and I loved it!
Yoga reignited a lot of the passions that I'd felt about my earlier training in dance. It felt like I was moving my body with purpose and integrity while challenging and expanding my brain and sense of self. I found that the practice enabled me to focus my attention and it quieted my busy mind. From there I began to discover all the benefits of reduced anxiety, increased mindfulness and renewed physical strength and agility. These profound effects included a great feeling of connectedness which led me to want to share what I'd learned.
During my time in California I was fortunate to attend classes and workshops led by Eric Schiffman, Shiva Rea and Jamie Elmer. After a move back to my home town of Toronto I began practicing at Yogaspace. I completed the 200 hour YTT program at Yogaspace with Kathryn Beet, Patricia White and others and additional Flow yoga Teacher training with Bibi Rahim-Hahn. I've also taken part in meditation workshops with Jeff Warren of the “Consciousness Explorer's Club”.
My goal is to offer soulful classes where participants feel supported and encouraged to explore their whole selves through practice with curiosity, integrity and and a bit of humor.
