I'm a lifelong yoga practitioner with 20 years teaching experience. My work is profoundly influenced by the teaching of Krishnamacharya's lineage principally TKV Desikachar, and latterly the Scaravelli tradition. I have been and continue to be a student of the exceptional teachers Sylviane Gianina, David Charlton and Giovanni Felicioni. My teaching style also reflects my original training in dance and movement arts. I co-own and run a small studio in North London called Yoga Junction with my partner the Astanga teacher Nigel Jones. We teach a range of courses, classes and workshops at the studio and I also teach nationally and internationally. I am a Diploma Course Tutor for the British Wheel of Yoga and training and supporting yoga teachers is a big part of my work. It has been a pleasure to be able to share yoga with more people around the world through writing and I have authored several books on Yoga (including Yoga for Yoga and The Easy Yoga Workbook) which have been translated into many languages. As a mother of 4 children I'm particularly devoted to the teaching of pregnancy and post-natal yoga, which I believe to be completely essential for the maintenance of sanity!
