Tara is a pioneer in yoga, embodied anatomy and awakening. She brings to the yogic tradition a scientific yet playful study of the body's movement vocabulary and ever-expanding awareness of the human mind. In 2014 Tara created the School of Embodied Flow™, bringing her life's work together into a modern movement of Yoga.

Tara created the School of Embodied Flow in 2014 to bring her studies and practices together into a modern yoga movement. An English degree from Barnard College, post-graduate studies in theater directing and a foray into film writing and directing brought her unique perspective in the study yoga and meditation.

Tara has almost thirty years of experimentation with all forms of flow, dance, Tai Chi, movement improvisation and, ultimately, yoga. She has studied and taught with Carlos Pomeda, Sally Kempton and was certified in the Anusara® method, inspired by Body-Mind Centering® and the work of Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen.

As a featured teacher on , for the last five years she has helped shape the yoga conversation streaming around the world. In 2010 Tara moved from Los Angeles to direct a retreat center in Bali, Indonesia. Her home base now rotates throughout the year, as she facilitates workshops, retreats and teacher trainings worldwide. Tara has taught internationally for 13 years.

Tara weaves tantric philosophy, skillful movement and awakened humor into her facilitation. She curates each Embodied Flow yoga happening to so that each practitioner may drop into expanded consciousness and an awakened experience of themselves. Her dynamic style brings ease and authenticity into a new yoga culture.
