Tatiana began her yoga journey over 25 years ago and got certified as an Ashtanga yoga instructor in 2001 in San Francisco under the instruction of the late Larry Schultz from It’s Yoga. Originally from Costa Rica, she has always been committed to her personal practice, loves to teach and is dedicated to spread the teachings of yoga and the multiple benefits it brings to people's lives. She has taught well over 3,000 hours of yoga since getting certified and has been studying and practicing different styles of meditation for over a makes her students feel right at home by providing a safe and fun environment while meeting them where they are in their yoga journey. Her passion and commitment for what she does sparks curiosity and ignites her students’ love for a steady and continuous practice. Her sessions focus on alignment, connecting to the breath and exploring the subtle sensations of the present moment to achieve a high level of awareness and wellbeing. Her unique yoga style draws elements form several mind and body disciplines she has been exposed to over the years delivering a fun and deep experience. She welcomes students from all levels in her classes. Before COVID, her expert and optional adjustments and healing touch in savasana (final relaxation) left practitioners feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.
Tatiana's lifelong passion for health, fitness and wellness guided her to become a certified personal trainer after her career in the corporate world. A life enthusiast, Tatiana’s friendly nature makes her clients feel at home right away. She offers a free first session to discuss goals and conducts an initial fitness assessment and tracks progress closely to ensure the results are attained. The sessions she offers are varied, fun and in line with her clients' needs, goals, preferences, and limitations. Tatiana offers nutritional guidance as part of the training to ensure a successful fitness plan and is known for encouraging her clients to believe in themselves, unlock their potential and accomplish what they never imagined. She also holds a specialization in Weight Loss Management.
Tatiana is a native Spanish speaker living in the US for over 20 years, loves to spend time outdoors, enjoys cooking, meeting up with friends (oh Covid), and spending quality time with her husband and two children. She also likes optical illusions and playing board/card games. Reading/studying and catching up with her mom in Costa Rica are big on her list. And yes, chances are you will always see Tatiana going around on her bike. Assisting others to become a more refined and happier version of themselves has become a way of living for Tatiana.
Tatiana’s love for nature and spending time outdoors inspires her gardening endeavors and the yoga on the beach she offers between spring and fall.
