A Message From Taylor Munholland

Stretch, empower, renew, live. My name is Taylor Munholland and I want to invite you to a yoga practice that makes you feel that anything is possible. I teach yoga to help others, to make a difference, to bring people joy, openness, freedom. Yoga has brought me confidence and happiness. It has taught me to love and listen to my body and in turn to know myself better. As a teacher I would like to empower you to embrace your inner vitality in every way.

Who are my ideal students? Anyone and everyone. Learning yoga has been a gift to me. I'm so excited to help and empower others to live in this moment.

Everybody - EVERY BODY- can practice yoga. I can't wait to share my passion and the love of this practice to motivate and encourage my students to be courageous, take chances and to feel empowered.

WHY I TEACH

Yoga has been part of my life for over ten years, and my practice has helped me become stronger, more flexible, and live in the moment both on and off the mat. Along with being an instructor of yoga, I will always be a student. I teach to bring inner awareness, to help my students learn and listen to themselves and be connected to the practice.

HOW I TEACH

When you come to my class you will gain knowledge about self healing, self love, and self motivation. My classes are designed to be friendly, inspiring and motivating. I want my students to feel confident and know they are right where they need to be. Never will you need to force your body to do something it does not wish to do. Instead you will have the opportunity to take time to listen. Some days your body may need rest and I can guide you with meditation, pranayama, and yoga nidra. Other days your body may rejoice during the practice of asanas with its deep strengthening and stretching of the muscles and connective tissues. Whatever state you may be in I will help you find awareness through this invigorating state of being.

WHO I AM

I am a supportive and motivating practitioner of advanced yoga with over 500 hours of training, including a 200 hour teacher training certification at Black Dog Yoga in Sherman Oaks in 2015 and 300 hours of advanced yoga teacher training at the Soma Institute. It has been a long hard journey for me to this place. With an extensive background in dance and fitness, I often found myself in physical therapy for torn muscles, pulled tendons, and nerve damage. Yoga taught me to profoundly listen to my body and place the ego aside. I learned to create a deep relationship between my mind, body, and breath through living each moment mindfully. In addition, I have battled back from serious illness to become a practitioner. Yoga has given me a pathway to live a healthier, more fulfilled life. Now I want to share the empowering lessons I have learned with you.
