Tiggy's style of yoga is a mix of vinyasa yoga with anusara alignment and buddhist themes, all served with a twist of irreverence! She believes that the practice of yoga is to become a kinder person to yourself and to others and to move you into the space of awareness of yourself as infinite, eternal and loving.

Tiggy feels gratitude for her first yoga teacher, James Hasemer, who twenty years ago had just completed his teacher training. Friends banded together to encourage him in his new vocation. After a few months of a weekly class, she had a significantly increased sense of focus and wellbeing, as well as significantly reduced levels of anxiety and period pain.

Yoga continues to make life rosy, from giving energy, bringing peace and joy and being the conduit to meeting fabulous people. More recently, a regular meditation practice has transformed life for the better even more.

After beginning in Iyengar yoga, she then spent two years exploring the Ashtanga sequence. By geographical chance, she then discovered Synergy yoga, with its unique fusion of Eastern tradition and Western science. She is ever grateful for the knowledgable, generous and inspiring teachings of Simon Borg-Olivier, her most revered and influential teacher.

In 2009, she completed a 500 hour yoga teacher training course at Byron Yoga Centre. Then during overseas work and travel, she worked her way through Anusara immersions and teacher trainings with Jonas Westring. During this time she developed a strong appreciation for John Friend's Universal Principles of Alignment and Tantric philosophy.

Other yoga asana influences have been Nevine Michaan, Elena Brower, Andrew Rivin, Kathryn Budig, Tiffany Cruikshank, Amy Ippoliti, Schuyler Grant, Sianna Sherman, Simon Lowe, Les Levanthal, Ana Forrest.

Her meditation pathway began with Brahma Kumari and Vipassana centres. More recently she has been on retreats and yatras that are part of Insight Meditation. Other significant influences have been Jack Kornfield and Sally Kempton.

Tiggy combines her love of travel and yoga to offer Reconnection Reteats with fellow teachers Clive and Antje, and to teach classes wherever she happens to be in the world.
