Tracy Hodgeman first experienced yoga with her mother back in the 70s, but her practice didn't get serious until 1992. Her strongest influences are Iyengar Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga (as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois), although she appreciates all paths.
Tracy was a student and a teacher at the Ashtanga Yoga School in Seattle for over 10 years. In 1999 she made the pilgrimage to Mysore India to study with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath. Tracy has also had the privilege of studying w/many other inspiring Ashtanga teachers including Richard Freeman, David Swenson, Chuck Miller, Tim Miller, Beryl Bender Birch, and Lino Miele.
Tracy teaches with humor and compassion, creating a safe and noncompetitive environment in which students are encouraged and celebrated.
