While living in New York City Valence was introduced to Yoga through a friend. Ever since her first Yoga class Valence has been dedicated to learn and grow in her practice on and off the mat. Trained with the Yogaworks philosophy, Valence has a background in Iyengar, Ashtanga & Vini Yoga. But she is also deeply influenced by other styles of Yoga such as the graceful movement of Anusara Yoga, the powerful asana of Vinyasa or the spiritual practice of Kundalini. Thanks to her extensive travels she has had the opportunity to practice with some of the greatest teachers in the world. With beauty to be found in any style of Yoga, Valence lovingly explores their differences and draws upon what suits her and/or her students at any given moment, fully committed to bring those teachings she has accumulated over the years.
