I was first introduced to Hatha Yoga in 2008 as a self-care technique during my time as a Holistic Health Practitioner student at Grant MacEwan University. Following my first studio class, I remember laying in Savasana with this sense of bliss, peace and absolute to myself, "I am going to be a yoga instructor". My experience as a program leader for the city of Edmonton (2003-2008), respite worker for children with various disabilities and disorders (2003-2009) and a mommy to two beautiful children (2010-now) have all been catalysts in my love of working with children. This love was effortlessly integrated into my passion for yoga! I graduated from my 200hr Hatha Teacher Training in the spring of 2011 ready to spread yoga bliss to the children of Edmonton. My classes are always dynamic, fun, engaging and creative explorations of yoga where students are given the opportunity to imagine and experiment. We play yoga through singing, dancing, telling stories, playing yoga inspired games, art, and of course breathing, stretching, focusing & relaxing. My inspiration comes from going upside down at least once a day, and limiting my exposure to grown ups!
