At Yoga Alive, I teach Satyananda yoga which includes the postures (asanas - which are often referred to as Hatha Yoga), breathing practices (pranayama) and relaxation/meditation. One of the many advantages of Satyananda yoga is that you can attend and benefit from a general class no matter what your level of fitness or how much - if any - yoga you've done previously. Men and women of different ages and backgrounds enjoy Satyananda yoga. Our classes are relaxed and informal, and the perfect antidote for the busy, often stress-filled lives most people live now.
I trained for three years at the Satyananda Yoga ashram at Mangrove Mountain, and have been teaching yoga since Easter, 2008.
