I am a certified Sivananda yoga instructor with emphasis on the five facets of yoga; Exercise, Breathing, Relaxation, Diet, Positive thinking and Meditation. I was introduced to yoga at the age of ten, when the primary focus was on the asana and chants. My deeper journey towards yoga and meditation restarted a few years ago. I started incorporating yoga into my life to bring about a balance and to cope with stress. My formal training and instruction in various forms of dances (such as Salsa, Merengue, Jive, Ballroom etc) during my formative years is a huge influence in my teaching methodologies. I am continuously inspired by my students and encourage them to listen to their bodies while practicing yoga asana.
