I teach Yoga, Meditation and Buddhism at Brighton Buddhist Centre and I am a member of the Brighton Buddhist Centre management team.

I trained to become a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order for 18 years and was Ordained as Vidyadasa (which means Servant and Disciple of knowledge) in 2011 on a 4 month retreat in Spain.

Yoga with Vidyadasa

Vidyadasa is an excellent yoga teacher. His classes are relaxed and enjoyable and I always come away with a great sense of well being. He promotes total body awareness and encourages us to practice with care and attention to not only ourselves, but those around us. My week would not be the same without my yoga class - I call it my little oasis of calm in an otherwise hectic week.

I tried many different yoga classes before settling on Vidyadasa's. I like his classes because they are friendly, accessible to all levels and they allow you to develop your practice at your own pace. The meditation at the start of the class is a great way to relax and get in touch with your body. The gentle flowing nature of the postures along with the focus on breathing make for a balanced and inspiring practice.

Vidyadasa - One of the Best teachers ever

I've been going to Vidyadasa's yoga classes for over 3 years. He's a very experienced yoga teacher. He welcomes every new person to his classes and tries to get to know them a little before the class. He has a really gentle approach to his teaching which makes you feel that the yoga is easy but afterwards you really feel the benefits of the class. He explains everything really well and helps you out if your posture needs improving. You never feel afraid to ask questions in his classes and he adds humour into his teaching which helps you relax and enjoy the yoga. He always starts and ends his classes with relaxation and meditation and I always come out of his classes feeling more flexible, balanced, relaxed and nurtured.

Vidyadasa's yoga is gentle and considered - he uses flow and breathing to encourage the development of a gentle and considered practice in others. He sometimes uses partner yoga techniques to expand and deepen postures which I find very inspiring and rewarding. He teaches mindfulness with a very balanced and honest nature and weaves a little bit of magic into his meditations.

Great yoga teacher

Vidyadasa is an experienced, thoughtful and considerate teacher. A calm, friendly teacher who puts you at ease whatever your level. Subtle yet considered you progress at the right pace for you without even realising it as a result of his thoughtful practice. I would highly recommend him.

Lovely warm caring & inspiring teacher

Vidyadasa creates a calm, safe class for beginners and more experienced yoga students alike. Some meditation involved. Very focused on breathing, not over-doing things, developing awareness. Love his classes.
