In my early 20s, my mom encouraged me to take my first yoga class when she was regularly practicing Bikram Yoga. Because of the heat and my physical fitness at the time, I passed out half way through and hit the floor with a hard “thud!” Admittedly, I was scared of yoga for the next 7 years.
Thankfully through rock climbing, I found my way to yoga class again. 3 years ago I gave yoga a second try and was surprised to find that I was hooked. That may sound like a long time, but I still remember what it’s like to be a beginner and say to yourself, “she wants me to do what with my body?”
My class is energetic and logical. I encourage you to give yourself grace as progress do not happen overnight. Just keep practicing!
