Virginia Filip teaches yoga since 1995. Her first experiences were in kundalini yoga, she learned with Sat Nam Kaur in Cuernavaca Morelos, after she began to learn Hatha with different teachers: Sama Fabian, Cindy Winter, Brigitte Longueville and with different hindu teachers in India, specially the Shivananda tradition in Rishikesh. She likes to change her classes, some times to warm up she begins with dancing or free movements. Throughout her asana class she puts the emphasis on the breath and total awareness. To coordinate movements with breathing and while moving to expand from the center, feeling the energy lines. Virginia also teaches moving meditation. Her classes are based in the Osho techniques of Active meditations with emphasis in the free expression of the body, to learn to let go tensions through movements and voice exercises, and with a quiet and relaxed mind, to experiment the silence and peace of the present moment. She has been in the Osho Commune in Puna, where she learned different techniques to help the body to move freely from the heart, to loose and let go tensions through music, painting and voice exercises. She assisted to different courses to reconnect with the life energy, to meet the inner child, to open the heart, to open to life. She also learned with Mark Taylor of Body Mind Centering on anatomy and ontology of movement in Mexico DF and a workshop with Moti Zimmerman in contact improvisation. She is always interested in deepening in the intimate relation between the body and mind.
