“A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because her trust is not in the branch but in her own wings.”

- Source unknown

For me, yoga started as a supplement to strengthen other activities - swimming in high school, rowing in college, and distance running as an adult. Yoga became my primary practice when I became pregnant and couldn't run as much as I had anticipated. After the birth of my son, Dario, yoga was there for me during my transition into motherhood. This is where I began to appreciate all that I could accomplish and enjoy through yoga.

Yoga was, and continues to be, my oasis away from the constant needs of being a mother, a wife, other people's something. And because of yoga, and my dedication to my (almost) daily practice, I am a better mom, wife, other people's something. When I am my best self, I am better to others. Often people forget to take care of themselves and then just out of blue, on a random day where maybe nothing out of the ordinary happened, they look around and ask themselves, "Where did I go?"

When not doing yoga or teaching yoga you'll find me sleeping in, drinking coffee, reading a good thriller, eating tacos, hiking, swimming on hot sunny days, looking up on starry nights.

Spend time with you again, come back to your breath, your body and soul welcome you back with love and compassion.
