Wanda Lambeth was inspired by her 90 year old father, who continually showed his enthusiasm and dedication to movement, breathing and time for stillness. Wanda saw a clear path before her. A path that would allow her teaching to transcend typical beliefs and open doors for many who were anxious about taking their first yoga class, or exploring yoga later in life, or those who were recovering from illness and injury. Wanda's classes offer gentle, peaceful instruction, and many options for modifying the practice for each person's needs through use of yoga "props" including a chair for support if desired. She teaches a yoga practice that is comfortably achievable and sustainable lifelong.
After obtaining her teaching credentials in Hatha yoga, and becoming a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance International, Wanda focused on further training and certification in 50+ and Chair Yoga as well as training in Trauma Informed Yoga. She feels the growing popularity in Yoga is a sign from the Universe that this beautiful practice of body, mind and spirit alignment should be available to everyone, regardless of age, condition or life circumstance.
Wanda does not feel her teaching is a "job". It is a blessing and her passion and love for the practice is further enhanced by the rewards of seeing others embrace their yoga practice and increase their quality of life.
