Well was first introduced to Hatha Yoga in college phys-ed course in 1999. Years of skateboarding and roller derby resulted in several injuries that grew into chronic pain and stiffness. Frustrated by physical pain and a lack of focus, he remembered the moments of peace that were always available on the mat. As the universe would have it, a men's class was just beginning at the local community studio. Inspired by the union of physical practice, inner spirituality. and brotherhood of men working to better themselves, Well found is hOMe in Yoga. Now, armed with a desire to serve and a 200hr teacher certification, his focus is on teaching the asanas, pranayama, and meditation to find balance in the body, mind and spirit - in each moment just as it is. It is not about being super flexible and forcing our body into the fullest expression of the pose - but exploring where we are in our body, right now, and gradually and safely moving into the experience so we can be present, grounded, and comfortable on the mat and in daily life.
