I am a yoga and meditation teacher currently living in Kandy, Sri Lanka. I received most of my training in India, Sri Lanka, and the US over the last 17 years. In 1999 I began my yogic journey in India with concentration meditation which included breath work, visualizations, Vedic and Buddhist textual study, OAM chanting, and the discipline of sitting in meditation position. A few years later I began to incorporate the investigation of dhamma (dharma), such as vipassana, into my practice. In the last few years I have also been practicing forms of deep relaxation and Metta chanting.

I attended a Vinyasa Hatha yoga teacher training course by YogaFit in 2008, and from 2008 onward I have taught yoga. In the US I taught at three studios over a 5 year timeframe including private lessons. In 2013 I attended a Hatha yoga intensive teacher training in India by Samyak yoga and in 2014 I began a MPhil in Buddhist Studies at the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka. In addition, from 2014 to 2015 I provided yogic training in postures and breath-work to Buddhist monks and nuns attending Peradeniya's Buddhist Studies academic program.

If you are interested in learning yoga, how to meditate, or studying textual Buddhism please contact me.

Master Meditator

Weston introduced me to meditation about 15 years ago. He has been self-disciplined and sincere about his practice throughout that entire time period and even before. Not only is he well read in the principles of yoga and meditation, but he does not teach anything except what he has experienced deeply himself. If you are the type of person who enjoys hearing the concepts behind what you are doing, he does an excellent job of explaining everything in a comprehensible fashion. He pushes people to get the most out of their yoga experience while at the same time remaining sensitive to personal goals and limitations. I would strongly recommend practicing yoga (or meditation) with him if you get the chance!

The Bodhi Yogi!

At the Beautiful Campous of Peradeniya,
I met the this kind classmate Weston, who dedicated his valuble energy and time to us. Since, I start most important thing in my life, every Monday go to the Sarasavigama to train the Yoga and get a free lunch and discuss the Dhamma! So, in my opinion, Weston is a scrupulous teacher, he knows how to guide us in a gradual way and always help us establish confidence, and I believe you will get a personality guide and nice spiritual journey with him!

Excellent teacher!

As a beginner Weston knew perfectly what to do. I'm not that flexible but Weston made sure I felt confident enough to do yoga with him. He told me it's not about flexibility, and that you should never do something your body can't do.
He gave good instructions, his voice is very calming and relaxing.
I learned a lot from my lesson with Weston, and I wish I could have followed more lessons from him!
Thanks a lot!
