Following a knee injury 8 years ago, I developed a strong passion for yoga and since, my practice has helped me grow stronger, more flexible and energised both physically and mentally. After a short time practising I became very aware of the calming, quietening and blissful psychological benefits.

I travelled to Goa, India, in 2014 and completed my 200hr YTTC at Kranti yoga in ashtanga. Following this I furthered my knowledge, passion and insight practicing with yogis in Varkala and Rishikesh where my passion for a wholistic, fun, strong, safe practice blossomed! Since returning from India, i have furthered my personal practice at workshops and teacher trainings with the likes of Patrick Beach, Carling Harps, Kerri Verna and Sarah Lo, taking my teaching away from just ashtanga vinyasa into the slower, quieter style of Yin yoga.

I have set up my own yoga company, Mandukya yoga, taking it from 1 class a week in April 2015 to being able to step back from my job as a registered A&E nurse and take the yoga on full time teaching 15-22 hours of yoga a week in January 2017.

I incorporate a strong sense of mindfulness, fun and an infectious enthusiasm in my classes, which range from strong physical flows to long held meditative session of stillness. All the classes can be enjoyed by those total beginners to yoga and those experienced yogis! I spend time throughout all classes ensuring correct alignment to allow anyone and everyone to develop and deepen their practice and safe environment.

I believe yoga is perfect harmony of re-uniting the mind with the body (and eventually) the soul through the breath! As a nurse I also believe in the nurturing and healing power that can be found in reconnecting 'our selves' with our 'true selves' and enjoying the true bliss that is to be discovered both on and off the mat.

I started practicing yoga about 14 months ago and Wibbs has taught me from the start - he is a superb teacher, full of enthusiasm and encouragement, with an uncanny ability to assess the level of the class on any given day, enabling him to get the most out of students without anyone feeling out of their depth. He demonstrates every asana and in addition makes plenty of adjustments where necessary. He also has a background in traditional western medicine, which has given him an excellent knowledge of anatomy - clearly an incredibly useful attribute in a yoga teacher. I would highly recommend him, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced yogi.
