My personal yoga journey began at the start of 2015 when I was recovering from injuries and I have been addicted to yoga ever since! I can’t remember feeling fitter, healthier and more energised at any stage in my life than I do now! I very quickly saw the benefits yoga and exercise gave me both mentally and physically. As well as attending several yoga and fitness classes each week I also practice yoga at home daily.
I have an early years and education qualification and have worked in this field since 1999 before taking up my current post as the area officer for a children’s health charity in January 2015. I have a great deal of experience in child development, health and wellbeing as well as experience working with children with a wide range of additional support needs. I enjoy learning and enhancing my skills and have completed numerous training courses including Development Attachment & Resilience, Child & Adolescent Mental Health and in 2014 gained a Counselling qualification from Abertay University.
Another one of my passions is cooking and I am well known among family, friends and work colleagues for my home baking. Today I follow a healthy diet and am passionate about cooking delicious healthy and nutritious food from scratch.
I am very excited about delivering yoga classes to children and this gives me the opportunity to combine my two passions – yoga and working with children!
