Great in-depth yoga-program! Thank you!
I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to study personally with Yogacharya Michael, as well as gain through the wisdom of his online yoga training courses. In my 30+ years of exploring yoga, through various teachers and traditions, I can say unequivocally, that this of one of the most knowledgeable teachers of yoga. Yogacharya's training fills a huge gap in modern day yoga instruction and gives students a comprehensive view of yoga that goes well beyond the practice of asana.
As a yoga teacher myself, I found his training both refreshing and educational. Having taken it, I am both inspired and better prepared to guide my own students further into this ancient art of yoga. I highly recommend this teacher and his yoga training programs for all yoga teachers and serious students!
I really like the Yoga Master's Course about Ashtanga-Yoga that Yogacharya Michael teaches online. I can say that he really took the time to write and arrange a very educational course. The other thing that I like about this course is that it is supported by his own practice under the guidance of a true yoga master of India. This is a course that one can take with all confidence online except for the spiritual part.
I belong to the Vaishnava School of Thought, the Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Sampradaya, one of the oldest Vedic Schools of Yoga, above all Bhakti-Yoga. Is because of my knowledge about the Vedic Phylosophy thanks to my spirtual master Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayan Gosvami Maharaja that I cannot agree with the spiritual approach that Yogacharya Michael gives in his course. He does not explain properly or completely the Para-Brahman. As many yoga schools, above all the ones that are presented in the West, their teachers only explain the impersonal aspect of the Absolut Truth, known in the Vedas as Brahman, or Brahmajyoti, the refulgence of the Para-Brahman. In the personal comentary of the Vedanta-Sutra given by the same author, Srila Vyasadeva, known as the Bhagavat-Purana or Srimad-Bhagavatam, he explains that the Absolut Thruth is understood in three aspects, Brahman, Paramatma and Bhagavan (SB 1.2.11 www.vedabase.net). To understand the yoga, above all its spirtual part, one need to learn the phylosophy of yoga in full and not by a partialized approach. Still the Yoga practice in all its aspects, is a great practice. Keep on doing this wonderful practice and discover the secrets of YOGA. Lots of information, great recommendations and encouragement to take time and review the material. Inspirational quotes and responses.
A thought provoking and educational course to teach the fundamentals of yoga. Awesome resource for the newbie and the practiced yoga student.
Super, fab 1year Correspondence Course
I have been delving a little into trying yoga for many years without much success, I have always found classroom yoga to be in comprehensive and somewhat punishing. But with the better understanding that Yogacharya Michael is able to give me through his outreach has helped me get more interested and committed to yoga.

Yogacharya Michael is a product of the Gitananda Yoga lineage, having learned from both Yogacharya Dr. Ananda B. Bhavanani and Yogacharini Meenakshi Devi Bhavanani, disciples and successors of Dr. Swami Gitananda Giri Guru Maharaj. Swami Gitananda was recognized during his lifetime as one of the four living masters of the Eight Limbs of Yoga.
Over and above his credentials, Yogacharya Michael is himself the creator of several online yoga training courses. Of these the most powerful and comprehensive is the Yoga Masters Course, which faithfully conveys the methods, techniques and profound insights of the Gitananda Yoga tradition.
A very special human being who is able to transmit the best of Yoga teachings to the student though all modes of modern communications. Very sincere and dedicated, highly recommended!
