My yoga journey began on the coast of Northeastern, Brazil. Sun salutations warmed up my muscles before setting out into the surf. I see waves like thoughts that can be mastered and controlled with practice.
I was certified beside the foothills of the Himalayas on the banks of the Ganges River in Rishikesh, India: the birthplace of Yoga. My teaching style combines Western movement with a much more continuous focus on breath and concentration. It is dynamic meditation working toward core strength and inversions.
The sun drives not only my spiritual life but also my personal and professional life. When I am not teaching yoga I am working to integrate renewable energy and sustainable agriculture more seamlessly into the built environment. Sunlight sustains my soul, my work, and my practice and there is plenty of it to share.
I now teach private Meditative Flow and group Sun Salutations on my rooftop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
